Corporate Social Responsibility

We, in Premier, take our responsibility to society and the environment seriously and are invested in improving society and look for solutions that will assist in those improvements. Reducing carbon footprints, charitable giving, empowering women in the workforce to establish equality and establishing corporate policies that benefit the environment remain our goals towards our effort in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Education

Over $1 million has been spent on various school infrastructure development over the last few years and our efforts continue in that sector.

A school for the underprivileged, from Grade 1-8, for 500 students at an estimated cost of 700,000 USD has been kickstarted. This will be a lasting legacy to the community living in poorer communities to access education at a minimum cost.

More than 200 employees benefit from free education every year. Our long term association with universities helps to empower women employees through ‘study while working’ programs through distance education. Additionally all the children of the employees working for Premier group of companies benefit from an Education Support Program.

Employee Welfare

Premier Fine Linens provides housing accommodation to nearly 240 families and 850 single accommodation units to its employees. Apart from this, employees are constantly encouraged to attend training workshops to continuously improve their skills to meet a dynamic, state-of-the-art work environment.

A specialised training centre with the state of the art of facilities will be set up in 2021 to empower the employees with a successful upgrade of skills.

EXTENDED NEIGHBOURHOOD CARE

Healthcare & Safety

We supported 12 paediatric surgeries every year for 3 years from 2017. We take up the cost of the surgery and aftercare along with ambulance services to offer exclusive and comprehensive care to treat economically deprived adults and children. We have also organised medical help for various other medical emergencies and procedures for needy individuals while supporting and sponsoring NGOs in similar areas.

Traffic Infrastructure UYIR - traffic regulation

In a drive to regulate traffic and avoid accidents on the road, the NGO UYIR has been set up in Coimbatore City. It is a first-ever initiative of its kind in India where modern 'smart cameras' will be installed across major road junctions. Premier Fine Linens is one of the proud sponsors of this effort.

Woman Empowerment

We are committed to the growth, development and well-being of our women workforce. Our training facilities offer various courses on finance, women’s health, counselling as well as specialised technical skills to help them be upwardly mobile in the workforce.
